Massage Therapist Renewal

Online Renewal

Massage Therapists are required to renew their licenses biennially in order to maintain an active certificate to practice. The Board utilizes a “staggered renewal” process for its licensees. It is based on the first letter of the last name. See the staggered renewal chart here.

The fee for renewal is $100.

Before Completing Renewal Application

Applicants will be required to complete the renewal application in its entirety and pay a non-refundable fee. Applicants will be required to upload any required documents because of an affirmative answer provided in the Questions portion of the application, license specific certifications and to have a valid credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover).

Continuing Education - Coming Soon

House Bill 483 of the 130th General Assembly authorizes the State Medical Board to establish continuing education for massage therapists. The Board is currently in the process of developing draft rules that will be sent out for public comment.
