According to Ohio Revised Code Section 4730.14, to be eligible for renewal, a physician assistant shall certify to the board that the physician assistant has maintained certification by the national commission on certification of physician assistants (NCCPA) or a successor organization that is recognized by the board. The physician assistant must complete during the current certification period not less than one hundred hours of continuing medical education acceptable to the board.
