Every patient seen in an emergency department
in Ohio must be the medical responsibility of a physician properly
licensed in Ohio. The holder of a training certificate issued
pursuant section 4731.291 of the Revised Code may perform duties in
the emergency department within the provisions of Section 4731.291
of the Revised Code, which requires that the certificate holder
shall limit activities to the programs of the hospitals or
facilities for which the training certificate is issued, shall
perform only duties that are a part of the training program and
shall practice only under the supervision of the physicians
responsible for supervision as part of the internship, residency, or
clinical fellowship program for which the certificate was issued.
